It's our favourite time of year – Christmas in July! And that means we get to do three of our favourite things: indulge in festive frivolity, raise money for our favourite charity, and stretch Christmas metaphors to breaking point.
Christmas in July for us is all about giving back, and once again this year we are partnering with the awesome Youth Off The Streets. This incredible charity works with young people, their families, and communities to create safety, offer support, and provide opportunities to build a positive future.
The Purpose
Well, it's not just about an excuse to wear reindeer antlers in the office (although that’s a bonus). Our mission is twofold.
Firstly, we want to sprinkle a bit of festive cheer to those who might be finding life a tad frosty, especially during these colder months.
Secondly, we’re determined to make a real difference in the lives of homeless individuals, restoring a bit of their dignity with essential items and gifts that say, “You matter.”
Donation Wishlist
To achieve our goal, we have compiled a wish list of items that Youth Off The Streets Australia will gladly accept as donations. Please keep in mind that these items should be new and unused. Here are some suggestions:
- Warm clothing (hats, gloves, scarves, socks)
- Blankets and sleeping bags
- Toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo)
- Non-perishable food items
- Backpacks or duffel bags
- Water bottles
- Gift cards (supermarkets, department stores)
How to Participate
1. Donate a Gift Bag To Our Wishing Tree Appeal: Fill a gift bag with any of the items listed above and drop them off at our office. We are located at Level 15, 1 Castlereagh Street, Sydney. Alternatively, we’ll pop over to your office and collect the gift bags. We’ll also give you a big shout out on our socials for your effort and contributions!
We’ll be putting together hundreds of gift bags to donate to Youth Off The Streets. So why not get your team involved and see how many gift bags you can put together? Share it on social, raise awareness, get the kids involved, have a working bee!
