In the fifth and final episode in this series, Sophie Robertson, author of Secrets to Running a Lucrative Temp Desk talks about why a recruiter should pick a side, either contract or permanent, as opposed to running a dual desk.
Sophie gives us an interesting perspective on what it's like to run a dual desk and often in doing so, it can cause recruiters to feel somewhat confused, not being able to grasp the concept that contract recruitment requires them to manage that workforce. Not to mention, in running a dual desk, it doesn't allow the recruiter to refine their skills and become specialists in one area or another.
