About the Role
Join our client's team as a Business Technology Services Endpoint Engineer and make a significant impact by providing top-notch support for endpoint devices including macOS and Windows systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and enhancing user experience by delivering efficient and effective technical support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding technical support to all staff, addressing requests and incidents efficiently while adhering to SLA agreements.
- Assist users with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software on macOS and Windows 11 platforms.
- Manage service desk operations, including prioritization of requests and escalation of issues as required.
- Engage in endpoint management, ensuring operational excellence through scripting and automation.
- Support the introduction and management of macOS devices within the existing endpoint fleet.
- Perform security hardening, technology upgrades, and maintain compliance standards across systems.
- Utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash for process automation and problem management.
- Administer endpoint Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for both macOS and Windows systems.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and workflows to enhance overall efficiency.
- Ensure the completion of routine administrative duties related to IT assets, including maintenance of warranties and licenses.
- Foster a positive workplace environment by adhering to company policies and promoting a culture of respect and safety.
- Actively participate in internal projects and assist in meeting organizational KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years of experience in Level 2 technical support, particularly with Apple Mac systems.
- Strong familiarity with macOS, Apple hardware, Microsoft Windows 11, and related software applications.
- Experience with IT service management tools, particularly the Atlassian suite, including Jira for issue tracking.
- Proficiency in endpoint vulnerability management and remediation strategies.
- Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management processes and user onboarding practices.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service and quality output.
- Relevant IT qualifications, such as a Higher School Certificate or Certificate IV in IT, are preferred.
- Certifications in Apple systems or Microsoft technologies are desirable.
