Asset Performance Officer

Are you passionate about asset management and ensuring compliance in maintenance programs? We are seeking a skilled Asset Performance Officer to join our team and oversee the delivery of work on various properties while ensuring contractor compliance with maintenance contracts.

 

Primary Purpose of the Role

As the Asset Performance Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking field inspection activities, reporting outcomes, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of work as per the maintenance program. Your role will involve scoping works, monitoring contractor performance, and resolving issues to ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes and contract requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate scoping of works and adhere to the scoping program timelines.
  • Develop and manage a planned maintenance program using Property Assessment Survey (PAS) data and local knowledge.
  • Ensure proper delivery of works and create action plans to address issues when needed.
  • Verify compliance with building codes, portfolio standards, policies, and contracts when assigning work to contractors.
  • Conduct field inspections in a timely manner, maintaining records of inspections and necessary actions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors to support efficient inspection and maintenance programs.
  • Identify and resolve compliance issues in collaboration with contractors, issuing notices where required.
  • Report emerging issues to management, offering recommendations to improve asset program delivery and minimize impacts.

 

Key Challenges:

  • Balancing tenant interactions and concerns while meeting inspection program requirements.
  • Managing potential conflicts when non-compliance is identified, maintaining professionalism.
  • Ensuring inspections are completed to program while maintaining proper documentation and office work balance.
  • Managing budgets and asset maintenance requirements when developing the Program of Works.
  • Taking into account available information, contractor capacity, and other program implications when sequencing work.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in asset management, field inspections, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of compliance with building codes and maintenance contract requirements.
  • Ability to manage contractors, resolve issues, and deliver on-time, high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage both field and office work efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.

 

MUST HAVE clear police check, Australian Permanent Residency or citizenship and reside in NSW.
