Our client, a leading international Fintech business, is committed to providing easy and seamless payment solutions. As they expand, they are looking for a bright and driven person to join their Data Engineering team. Expertise in database systems, data integration, and data visualization, with a particular emphasis on PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL, and Python, is what the ideal applicant will contribute. To support data-driven decision making, this position entails creating and managing scalable data pipelines and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL/ELT pipelines should be designed, developed, and optimized for effective data transfer between systems.
- Guarantee data consistency, quality, and dependability, work with huge data sets in PostgreSQL and Redshift.
- Develop and manage complex SQL queries for analytics, reporting, and data conversions.
- Create reliable Python scripts & applications for automation and data processing.
- Use orchestration technologies like Apache Airflow to orchestrate data workflows and pipelines.
- Deliver monitoring and logging around Data Dog for complete observability.
- Resolve issues and keep the data infrastructure highly available.
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL/Redshift and SQL for data querying and optimization.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data pipeline development.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau or Power Bi.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team and on own initiative.
- Familiarity with AWS services including Redshift, RDS, S3, DMS & MWAA
- Experience in financial software sector will be considered an asset
Good to have:
- Experience with Apache Airflow for task orchestration.
- Hands on experience with DBT for SQL transformations and implementing change data capture solutions.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps practices.
- Familiar with scalable data storage solutions and distributed systems.
