Key Responsibilities:
- Data Lineage & Mapping: Lead the implementation of data lineage and mapping processes, ensuring transparency and traceability of critical data elements across systems.
- Master Data Management (MDM): Establish and maintain best practices for master data management, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and accurate data across all departments.
- Governance & Controls: Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Data Operations, to identify data governance requirements and establish actionable strategies.
- Critical Data Elements: Define and manage critical data elements across the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and data quality standards.
- Risk & Compliance: Monitor and assess data risks, proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and mitigate potential issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide subject matter expertise on data governance to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), and data lineage/mapping in a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong background in Finance and Controls, with a deep understanding of data compliance and industry standards.
- Experience working with critical data elements and the implementation of governance frameworks.
- Expertise in data management tools and techniques, with a focus on finance and operational data.
- Experience with data governance tools and platforms (e.g. Alation, Informatica, Collibra).
