About the role:
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the payment industry. This permanent position offers the chance to lead a significant long-term project within the Australian payment market. The role will involve working closely with clients and internal stakeholders while supporting a Payments Consulting project team both in Australia and the EU. The position provides ongoing exposure to the rapidly evolving payment industry with flexible hybrid working arrangements, requiring 3 days a week in the CBD office. Experience within the payments domain, with a strong understanding of Merchant Acquiring, Merchant Onboarding, and terminal rollout and migration, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the project life cycle, tracking progress and milestones.
  • Lead team meetings and ensure efficient coordination of resources.
  • Collaborate with clients and third-party providers to meet project goals.
  • Prepare and analyse data sets to inform decision-making and support project direction.
  • Ensure top quality control of the project while managing client and internal stakeholder interactions.

About you:

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Extensive experience in the card payments industry, particularly in merchant acquiring, merchant onboarding, terminal rollouts, and terminal/merchant migration processes.
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Expertise in MS Project, Jira/Confluence, and MS Visio (or similar tools).
  • Experience working with startups is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a focus on project quality and success.
